Hi, this is the first Chinese BL novel summary for this blog. I used 3 days to finish this novel(almost the whole day as I sprained my ankle and have to stay at home, normally I couldn't finish such a long novel this fast).

My Thoughts:

Very very engaging and epic. My personal preference right now is sci-fi so I read A LOT of sci-fi BL novels but I don't really like the doomsday or zombie apocalypse genre but this one has really epic and serious plot with a lot of suspense and good twist that is really good to be made into movie/tv series. The con is that I wish the author would include some conflict to the main character's creation cause it is too powerful. Like the creation of  virus X-2 where the 8 years lifespan is eliminated. Maybe some conflict that his creation is misused make him doubt his creation.

Summary:

Xiao Yan is an ordinary B rated scholar. As one, he has to be sent out to the unknown zombie infested world to do research with the other B rated scholars. On the way, the minds of both pilots of the aircraft he was on was hacked by "Interrupters" and he was dropped to some zombie infested jungle. 

When he finally waited for help. It was led by the infamous Hein of the special ops. These troops are special forces that has been injected with Virus X that improve their body condition to super human level with highly regenerative powers. Unfortunately, these troops are not specifically went to save them but on the way of a mission. Xiao Yan is unfortunately picked to aid them as one of the technician as the troops technician was eaten by zombies cause they are too afraid and didn't listen to the orders of the troops. 

See how Xiao Yan managed to survive endless zombies and assassins by the Tide Organization. Is Xiao Yan really just a B rated scholar?? Xiao Yan:"I'm just lazy to think." 

Story background: 

200 years ago, the virus Comet ravish the earth, most humans are infected and become zombies. The remainder humans live in an underground city called Ciel. The researchers using Comet as base has created the X virus. Those in special ops are those who accepted this virus but this virus is too overbearing and these people only have an average 8 years to live. These special troops are mainly to fight with the mysterious Tide Organization which is behind the spread of the Comet virus. Also, computers have evolved to a level that humans can put on a helmet computer to connect online, database, or pilot aircraft. When connected, other people can hacked to your brain and do damage or render you unconscious unless you can resist them.

OMG, after so many years I re-read this summary, I think I don't understand it at all. BAD summary.
Also, it seems this novel has a sequel but the sequel seems to be unfinished.

At first I thought this is a exchanged souls with another person in the future story. But this story is really really surprising and deep, actually this is a split personality story and the personality he created even fall in love with him. To make things worse there are 2 other main chars to complicate the whole thing. This story is quite dark but very interesting and quite dramatic.

::Summary::
At 1st, our main char, 18 years old Lin Yi woke up and find himself 10 years later and sleeping with the Prince that has rejected him yesterday(10 years ago actually). When he looked into the mirror he is shocked to find himself become a pretty person(he was a quite ugly looking). That's why he came to the conclusion that he has exchanged souls with the Prince's lover, Rang in the future. After that he have to act as the Prince's lover while trying to find 'himself' in the future. He know that finding 'himself' is the answer to the problem. But... this Demon, his nightmare from school days, is also there and he seems to recognize it's 'him'. Determined to find his future self, he tracked himself to France with the Prince and the Demon(best friend with the Prince and a doctor) following him.

To the Demon's horror, the truth is, after the Demon raped Lin Yi 10 years ago, a very hurt Lin Yi got very sick and created his split personality which wanted to protect him. So Lin Yi went to a deep sleep and the split personality took over. After graduated and become very successful, he went to France and did surgeries to his face, to reach his goal of creating a life that Lin Yi can have happiness. After the truth is found out, Rang came back to take over the body.

The Demon love Lin Yi, that time there was the "angel and master game"(I'm not sure if there is this kind of game in other places, but I played this game before when camping. This game is to get the newcomers to get comfortable with the seniors) This game is the seniors and juniors will be paired up and the seniors will know who their juniors are but the juniors will never know. Then they will write letters to each other or give presents. The Prince got Lin Yi but he wanted to trade it with the Demon, who got the girl he liked. The Demon was overjoyed because he like Lin Yi but the day to announce who is the Angel, the Prince said he wanted swap because he found that the girl has bf and he is ashamed. That's why Lin Yi thought the one being nice to him was the Prince and then the Demon started to become desperate and started to bully him.

At last, the Demon told the Prince the truth and said that Lin Yi have to be given treatment. The Prince took Rang far away, he don't want Rang to vanish. But Rang said he never loved the Prince, the Prince is his tool to protect Lin Yi because the Prince is the perfect lover who is nice to him.

Rang talked with the sleeping Lin Yi(in mind I supposed) that he knew everything, he knew that the Demon is the one who is nice to Lin Yi and loved him all those years. Rang said if you loved him, I'll loved him but if you choose to hate him, I'll hate him too.

In the end, the Demon found Rang and he was brought to be given mental treatment. Rang knew it's time he should disappear, he knew protecting him like that all those years is wrong and Lin Yi should be the one to grab his own happiness. He talked with the Demon, saying that the worst thing is to love the wrong person(hinting he love Lin Yi), Rang at 1st ask him to tell Lin Yi about him, his knight, but after that he said better not tell about him.

The last part talked about the time they were playing the 'Angel and Master' game and when the time to announce who is the Angel, "Er Zhi Lin(the Demon's name), it's you?"

Decide to start keeping track of the Chinese BL Novels that I read recently and find it quite enjoyable before I forget them. Read too much become sasa(stupid) and forgot all those that I like, hard to find them back -_-;;

Maybe not the best I've read but quite interesting story. 2 volume is a bit long for me. Likes to read shorter stories.

About a boy who kisses his friend and overturn a bucket at school which hit a car and meet up with the car owner who wanted him to pay for the damages. Bad things follow up with his parents divorce and an attempted murder by his mother. With his mother in jail and his father ignoring him, he lives with his grandmother but she also died leaving him all alone. With no one left, the only person helping him is this stranger he still owe money with. Clinging to him like a floating wood in the ocean, unaware of the underhand tactics the man used to make him his. The 2nd book is about their parents become aware of their relationship and trying to separate them. Does the boy really love him or he is only his floating wood that the boy couldn't let go? They are separated for 5 years and finally Happy Ending.

I found a very interesting Chinese BL novel that can make me laugh and chuckle. This writer has some really crazy ideas that I’m fond of. The way the uke talk is just XDXD very fun.

He Yu Yun has always kept a low profile. He has congenital heart disease, so he is already familiar with doing things without any emotions. But his boss sees his boring as interesting, and even has to play along with his silly love gambling game.

In this love gambling game, who is the first that said “I love you”, that person is the winner…… [Yes winner, not loser like most stories =3 That’s what I like about this story, gives me a refreshing feeling and also laughter =D]

Chinese bl novels are quite different with Jap bl novels in terms of writing, I can’t really say how though.

Recently, I like bl novels with modern+working men theme and has to be funny/really really touching. I feel quickly tired when I read fantasy/olden times or school life bl novels, don’t know why.

I frequently read Chinese BL Novels so I'll post English summaries of the ones I like here. I'll also slowly move/import my older summaries from my livejournal to here. I'll also ramble other things that may be a little off from the subject. Also, if you translate/blog about Chinese BL Novels, please leave a link so I can link to your place.

 --::THE LONG INTRODUCTION::--
You might be wondering why I would write Chinese BL Novels summaries in English instead of summaries in Chinese since if one don't know how to read Chinese there is no point in reading the English summaries of Chinese novels. It's a contradiction.

 I'm a native Chinese speaker in my household and my Chinese is normally at the lower middle marks which translates to not so good, even my English marks was better than Chinese. My household is an early adopter of computers, I think my house has one since around 1990 and computers was probably more than 3 times expensive than now, not to say that currency is becoming more and more small also.

 When I started to use computers, everything I use on the computer was in English, this includes, chatting, email, surfing the web, also all the books I read was in English. So it was foreign to me to browse Chinese sites. This continues until the end of my high school where I started using E mule to find BL stuff to read. That time I use the Chinese E mule. This is when I first encounter original Chinese BL novels. If I remember correctly, E mule has a function where you can get items from other people connected, I just use a wildcard to search for BL stuff there so I get random stuff. I still remember the first Chinese original BL novel I read. It's called "When the Cool meets the Cold". After that there is no return, I've been reading Chinese BL novels for more than 10 years. Later I found really epic BL stories that can rival any tv drama even if you minus the BL content.

 I write, chat and surf the internet in English for around a decade before I include Chinese in my online life, that's why I'm more comfortable blogging in English, hence blogging BL Chinese novel summaries in English. Not sure if anyone is actually interested but I hope BL fans can be interested in Chinese BL novels too and my summaries are useful in moving to the direction.
